I'm finally learning how to use my light meter in my camera to create a correct exposure. Seriously, I cannot tell you how big of a difference this has made in my photographs!

meet the crawford family. we got together this past saturday for my first photo shoot and it was so much fun! it was definitely a learning experience for me, as the only people i usually photograph are my nieces and nephews. i was super nervous, so i got to the location an hour and a half before we were scheduled to meet, so that i could scout out good spots, play with my shutter speed and exposure, and practice on my sister! anywhoo...they are such a wonderful little family and they made me feel so comfortable. i'm so thankful that they were willing to trust me with their family photos and their son's first birthday pictures!

my niece just started ballet and tap a few weeks ago, so the night before her first class we took some pictures in my room. :)
